The Learn and Earn scholarship provides vocational and technical training at J.F. Drake State Technical College to low-income adults ready for success, that will dramatically increase their take-home pay. AOD will team with additional educational institutions in the Huntsville/North Alabama area as we grow. We want to double or triple our recipients’ incomes from at or close to minimum wage to wages for entry level positions in their new careers.
The "Imagination and Aspiration" program provides scholarships for science and technology summer camp experiences to children from low-income families that will motivate them toward educational achievement. Camps include space, aviation, and robotics camps at the world-famous "Space Camp" at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. These camps are both "stay" camps in which the children lodge in on-site facilities for a more intense camp experience and “day camps” in which children return home at the end of each day.
